The thirty-sixth International Festival of Fashion, Photography and Fashion Accessories will be held from Thursday 14 to Sunday 17, October 2021 at the Villa Noailles in Hyères. This festival is widely recognised as the oldest fashion competition for young professionals anywhere the world.
Founded and directed by Jean-Pierre Blanc, and chaired by Pascale Mussard, the Hyères Festival is eagerly anticipated by fashion and photography enthusiasts. Every year, the festival launches a call for proposals so that young designers can try their luck.
The festival has been promoting and supporting young international fashion designers since 1986, with the competition opening up to emerging photographers in 1997. This year, for the fourth time, a competition will also reward new designers of fashion accessories.
Ten international finalists have been selected in each category from nearly 650 entries, all of whom will come under the spotlight in group exhibitions that will present their original designs. They will be given a helping hand by a range of awards, including the Prix Chloé, the 19M Chanel Crafts Prize, the American Vintage Photography Award and the Hermès Award for Fashion Accessories.
From October 14 to 17, 2021, the town of Hyères will sway to the beat of this special event, where Louise Trotter – Lacoste’s artistic director – will be the president of the fashion jury, and Christian Louboutin will judge the winners of the fashion accessories, with Dominique Issermann chairing the photography jury.
